Our little lady is 1 month

Yesterday marked one month that Scarlett has been in our lives. I cannot believe how big she has already gotten. I remember walking about the hospital halls, with a newborn fussy baby, for hours on end so she would stay sleeping and she was just so small in my arms. She wouldn't let me even sit down because as soon as I did, she would start to cry again.

Not much has changed in that she still loves to be moving but she does allow me to sit down every once and a while.

Here is her one month picture:

Over the course of this month there has been a lot of learning on both our parts (baby and parents). We tried breast feeding for a few weeks, and even rented a hospital grade pump, but the milk was not coming in with enough volume to keep her happy and full so we were substituting formula. That is something we did for a few weeks but with the milk not increasing, we decided to call it off and are now purely formula feeding.

On one hand it makes it easier as we can both take feedings, but on the other, it is an extra expense. I am glad that she did get a few weeks worth of breast milk though as I'm sure we've all heard about the benifits in which it brings.

So here, we are. A month in and everyone is still happy and healthy and we are just getting started.

Let's hope she stays little for a while longer.
