Moving Home

After a long deliberation period, numberous discussion and even a pros and cons list (that came out at 50/50), we as a family have decided to take the leap and move back home. Back to where the wife and I both grew up. Back to the friendly confines of the Niagara region.

The driving force behind this thinking was without a doubt our daughter. We want her to grow up closer to her grandparents. When she was first born, we were naiive in thinking that it wouldn't be a problem for our parents to see her and her to see them regularly.

Now 8 months have passed and the 5-6 hour drive that seperates us seems to be longer and longer each time. Couple that with the fact that life happens and it can be 2-3 month in between visits, and the fact that we have a baby that is growing rapidly and the grandparents that are missing it all.

The timing is right.

My wife is still on maternity leave and after recently graduating, is also looking for a career change into her field of study, but can trasfer locally into her current job. Our daughter is not yet in School and doesn't have any friends to leave which would devistate her in the future. We also don't own a house that needs to be sold.

So aside from leaving our great friends and me needing to find a new job, it just seems as though the timing will never be better to make the move.

We have both started applying to job posting feverishly and await callbacks.

Details to follow regarding this big change as I am able to.
